Last-minute Christmas gift ideas
Alright, so first things first, I wanted to clarify that my gift ideas for any last-minute shoppers are small, simple, and affordable. There’s no time to wrap a large present! Nor is there time and money to waste when Christmas is only a few days away.
This is why I’ve elected to offer you gift ideas on stocking stuffers and my favorite option: gift boxes!
Stocking Stuffers
Before we get into my favorite gift box idea, I wanted to layout a list of 50 stocking stuffer ideas that you can use for your family. Gift boxes
Alright, now on to my favorite topic: gift boxes.
Why do I love gift boxes so much? As a last-minute shopper myself, they’re super easy, super affordable, and people LOVE them. I gave my mom a premade gift box two years ago, and while it was adorable and she certainly liked it, I thought this year, I could do something a little more personal.
How many items should be in a gift box?
First, you may be wondering how many gifts/items should be in a gift box. I typically opt for five or more. This is a personal preference, but I feel like five is a good number. It feels like you’re receiving a lot of things despite them being small and typically totaling to around $25 all together.
How to use the 5 senses for gift ideas
When I make my gift boxes, I actually aim to use all five senses. I found this idea on pinterest and used it one year for my boyfriend on valentine’s day. Essentially, you try to find one present for each sense: sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell. It’s a super fun idea and it’s exciting to see what you can come up with.
It’s kind of like a department store challenge!
What I’m getting my mom this year (shh! Don’t tell her!)
So, before I start listing ideas, I figured people would be eager to know what I’m planning to get my mom this year. This is purely as an example if you’re lost! I do my best to try to theme each gift box and I’ll list a few themes below once we get into it!
For my mom:
- Skin care samples
- bath bombs
- her favorite candy
- headphones
- gift card for kindle
The theme for my mom this year is self-care, so I chose to try to find items that fit as closely to that theme as possible. While I didn’t adhere completely to the five senses, you’ll notice that I hit nearly all of them!
Anyway, that is what I’m getting my mom this year. If you need some ideas, I went ahead and made some category and theme ideas below.
