Here’s the Timeline:
2018
I graduated high school and moved out of my parents house. I took a gap year to raise money for college and my dreams came to a stand still.
January 2019
I bought a laptop and created my blog. At the time, it was known as “Blog to Being.”
April 2019
I self-published a poetry book called The Lights are on but Nobody’s Home. It’s a collection of poetry depicting a metaphorical house that degrades and rebuilds over time in conjunction with a failing relationship.
It was the first step I took into the world on writing and boosted my confidence tremendously.
May 2019
Around the same time my book came out, I decided to rebrand. “Blog to Being” became “Amelia J Wilson.” My goal was to create an author platform melding my interests and building a better brand.
September 2019
In September, I moved to Chicago and began attending university for Creative Writing.
This is also the time I ended up purchasing my first tarot deck, a classic RWS.
This was also the first time I truly hit rock bottom.
March 2020
The world entered a critical stage with the pandemic and my college classes were moved online.
Funny enough, my mental health began to improve at this time.
May 2020
In May, I finished up my second semester of college knowing I wouldn’t be able to attend in the fall due to financial issues.
June 2020
I began a YouTube channel where I began to talk about writing, journaling, and productivity.
July 2020
I became a freelance writer to pursue my dream of writing professionally.
October 2020
I self-published my first fiction novel, Witch in the Water, in October.
I also gained more steady work as a freelance writer.
February 2022
My newest book, Nameless and the Guardians of Earth released in February 2022! This is the first book of contemporary fantasy series filled with lore, treachery, and elemental magic. Perfect for readers of Cassandra Clare’s the Mortal Instruments and Leigh Bardugo’s The Grisha Trilogy.
June to September 2022
My YouTube channel continued to grow and change.
I also became a Pinterest creator for a while, posting my journaling spreads as I dove deeper into spirituality and astrology.
In June, I launched my business, Indy Tarot Mystique, as a professional psychic.
October 2022
I officially rebranded my YouTube channel to reflect my growing interest in spirituality.
May & June 2023
I hit rock bottom…again…
In June, I had to go back to in-person work and quietly put my writing dreams aside.
The second book in The Nameless Chronicles series was due to launch in June and did, but otherwise, all writing came to a halt.
September 2023
Aside from working hard to make ends meet, my boyfriend and I got engaged!
March 2024
Everything changed…
A very sensational spiritual experience completely demolished my worldview and rebuilt it from the ground up.
I have not been the same since.
May 2024
I got married!
Today
Indy Tarot Mystique has grown a lot and is continuing to expand. My spirituality has shifted for the better, and my mindset is the healthiest it’s ever been.
I am happily married and have found a new balance between work & life. I have also gone back to freelancing full-time, though I have also kept my traditional job part-time, thanks to its versatility and all of the friendships I’ve made there.
